Beijing-based Italian architect Sara Bernardi worked for many years around the world in the fields of architecture and design, before founding her own studio practice MICROmacro. Her work focuses on contradictions and dichotomies, grafting different scales and materials, mixing different identities and cultural influences. The results, which she produces under the MICROmacro brand, exhibits a unique blend of Italian heritage, local craftsmanship, and global influences.
MICROmacro’s design collections and installations have been presented in many international design events, such as Beijing Design Week, Fuori Salone Sarpi Bridge, Fuori Salone Ventura Lambrate, Oriental Design Week, and Operae Indipendent Design Festival.
