Designers Young & Battaglia playfully blur the boundaries between the frame and the artwork by superimposing fragments of colour over a traditional neoclassical portrait and frame, both of which are digitally printed on to the canvas itself. The paintings subject, Rosalba, is re-imagined for the 21st Century, refracted though prismatic schemes to bring her beauty alive again. Winters Morning refracts sombre tones to bring a hint of mystery to the piece.
