Vintage Design

Rain drum in bronze with green/brunette patina. The eardrum is richly decorated with several concentric registers separated by Listels, adorned in the center of a twelve -pointed star and embellished with 4 frogs with cardinal points. Geometric patterns, flowers, fish are represented. Flanked by two pairs of handles and a series of elephants. Probably Burma or Laos, XIXth. Very nice state of conservation. Provenance: Succession of the collector and art dealer Claude de Marteau. Sold with certificate of authenticity.
