About This Piece

Vintage Design

Rare and impressive table lamp designed by Ennio Chiggio and made by Lumenform in Italy in 1970. It's quite unique because it looks like the chrome shade is floating in the air, but it's actually a clever design using balance and tension. The glass part sits on a solid steel ring that's chrome-plated. It's like having a sculpture that gives off light and has a magical presence. Also the glow of the light on its surrounding is beautiful. There's a tiny spot where some of the chrome is missing on the inside, but it's not very noticeable. This lamp is checked in our own atelier, cleaned and is suitable for use in the USA. For US usage we could change the plug, or you can get a converter if needed for a floor or table lamp with transformer in it.
