Striking iconic shaped so called Sputnik chandelier designed by Oscar Torlasco and manufactured by Lumi Milano, Italy 1950. This chandelier is from the 1950s when sputniks shaped lamps were popular because of the sputnik space program in the 1950s. Many designers based their designs on the iconic shaped space crafts. This chandelier however has a more unusual and elegant shape. Having its arms all next to each other in 2 different lengths makes this a very dynamic shaped piece. It is made of brass plated metal and has a nice patina where you can see this piece is fully original and authentic. The lamp uses E14 bulbs and can be used on a dimmer.
