Red Anémone rug François Dumas Anemone is a rug inspired by a painting in which brushstrokes imitate the movements of sea anemones. The rug is handmade by artisans in Portugal who tuft and cut the wool to obtain a raised design, reproducing the anemone’s shades. Materials 100% wool, hand knotted. 100.000 knots/sqm. Finishes shades of blue / grey / or red, and pure white / beige background Dimension: 200 x 290 cm François Dumas is a French designer based in Amsterdam. His work has been shown in various exhibitions and he won the Villa Noailles’s grand prize in 2010 for the sealed chair. He is also a founding member of the Krux collective that involves designers, artists, and craftsmen.
