Vintage Design

Exceptional ensemble signed L. Leroy, bringing together a pendulum and two candlesticks, in veneer of red scales with inlays of leafy foliage taken up in chisel like the marquetries of André-Charles Boulle. A rich golden bronze ornamentation embellishes this set.
Created in Paris in 1785 by Basile-Charles Leroy, the Leroy house quickly size a solid reputation and has a prestigious clientele. This luxury watchmaking is thus supplier of the French imperial family from 1805 then many heads crowned during the century.
This unique pendulum is summoned with a pediment in the shape of a dome surmounted by two large flagships, in the shape of flamboyant vases, and carried by bronze balusters.
The facade has a door with an arch -shaped glass. It is surrounded by a shaped and scalloped wand, surmounted by an angel. On each side, a pilaster, with fine vertical brass nets on scales, is embellished with a marquee and a sculpted bronze base.
This pendulum has a prestigious ornate dial and a golden bronze sculpture representing two angels holding an annotated "Leroy Aparis" frame. This one is accompanied by a mask representing a Gorgon. A garland of leaf and foliage complete the scene.
The sides of this pendulum also include arch -shaped windows and rich brass inlays forming scrolls and arabesques.
The two candlesticks, mounted in lamp according to your choice, complete this property.
