Vintage Design

A special round biomorphic smoked glass pendant light designed by Koch & Lowy for Peill & Putzler, manufactured in Germany, circa 1970s. Four pieces are available.

Sockets: 1 x e27 standard bulb (100 w max).

Drop rod can be adjusted for a greater or lesser drop.

This light and the other models of this pendant lamp (different sizes) won the IF design award in 1975.

Information about Peill & Putzler: The glass fabric Peill & Sohn was founded in 1903 in Dören, a small town in west Germany. Peill merged with Putzler (founded in 1869) in 1947 as a glassworks and lighting company and became Peill & Putzler Glashüttenwerke. The company always worked with important designers as Wilhelm Wagenfeld, William Brown, Helmut Demary, Aloys Ferdinand Gangkofner and so on.
