Beautiful creative kokeshi set made by Sanpei Yamanaka. Mother and daughter, they were made in 1973.

Yamanaka was born in 1926 in Yamagata and has made creative kokeshi throughout his career. His kokeshi are loved by collectors all over the world. He won the "Prime Minister's Award" in 1979.

Item will be left in its packaging after delivery.
