This fine jar-shaped studio ceramic vase was created by the German ceramist duo Renate & Hans Heckmann (1935 - 2021) during the 1960s. Both artists completed their education at the renowned Technical School for Ceramics in Höhr-Grenzhausen (Westerwald) in the late 1950s and early 1960s with Hubert Griemert (1905 - 1990). In 1962 Hans Heckmann took over his parents ceramic workshop together with Renate Heckmann. She changed the vision of the studio to an increasingly artistic approach over the years.
