Vintage Design

A unique pair of lamps in the neo-secession style, created in the 1970-1980 in France. Lamps made of metalwork and glass with a beautiful, morphic form.

The leg resembles a stalk encased in twigs. Made of colored metal in places oxidized, silvery and copper-plated. Individually selected flower shades made of frosted, rough glass. Shades decorated in glass with yellow rims. The whole is extremely structural, decorated with various techniques.

Lamps are an example of postmodern style, which was a response to modernism with avant-garde ambitions. Postmodernism was distanced from the avant-garde, it was an opposition to the concept of rational nature of culture. In art, it was often more decorative, hence the floral form reminiscent of Art Nouveau decorations.

This set is characterized by a unique, extraordinary form.
