About This Piece

Antique painting, 18th century in oil on canvas and retains its original carved wooden frame. On the pictorial surface the Virgin Magdalene is represented assisted by two angels at the moment of her ascension, placing her hand on a crucifix. Next to her, there appears a skull symbol of penitence and rejection of worldly vanity and a book, the main attribute of Mary Magdalene, as it is associated with the passage in which she anoints the feet of Christ, to later dry them with her hair. We cannot forget to highlight the beautiful polychrome carved wooden frame in black and gold
