Such a beautiful work in charcoal. Angela has the most distinctive way of presenting figurative drawings, she usually works in a range of colours so this is and unusual piece from her. It's also redolent of the 1960's and new freedoms that became available to ordinary people. Charcoal on paper Signed, unframed Angela was born in 1946 and studied art at Kingston Art College, London. Her early career was predominantly spent designing sets for rock bands. This connection with the flourishing world of rock music took Angela to Wales where she was to run a recording studio for many years. Latterly she has returned to the art world and after some successful exhibitions in the West Country of England she has settled upon depicting figures. Angela has a beautiful and unusual way of using colour and her figurative works are sublime.
