Vintage Design

A large amorphous vase is an example of artistic ceramics from the 1960s. The irregular shape similar to a pannier has been decorated with small rings with an irregular arrangement. A quite large vase was designed for the users of modern interiors of the 60s and 70s, as the dominant of the space. The abstract, monumental and modern form was an alternative to the modest design of the Polish People's Republic.

Presumably, the vase's author is one of the founders of the post-war school of decorative ceramics, whose monumental compositions were found on the edifices of Krakow's public buildings. They were such artists as: Witold Skulicz, Krystyna Zgud-Strachocka, Celina Strychalska - Taranczewska, Ewa Żygulska or
Czesław Dźwigaj.
