2-part brass sculpture from the 1960s for simple candles.
The sculpture in a form made of foliage, a flower calyx, holds the candle in the middle. In mythology, trees were planted in sacred groves. It was believed that the leaves of the trees were the connection between heaven and earth, a kind of ladder to heaven on which the gods descended and protected people.
