1940's Bentwood Debrecen Round Back Dining Chairs - Set Of Four. Rare set of four chairs by the producers Debrecen, it is is hard to be precise about the origin of these chairs as little history is known, but what we do know is at the beginning of the 20th Century Debrecen and Thonet were bentwood makers in Hungary. Three major producers existed in Hungary, producing chairs in various factories throughout the Austro Hungarian empire. These chairs are 1940's, they are not all labelled Debrecen but we are confident they are. Beautiful surviving and fascinating chairs. All our chairs pass through our own workshop where they are gently serviced and sensitively restored, we only sell vintage of excellent quality.
