Stunning and rare Art Deco Modernist credenza or sideboard. Design by Hendrik Wouda for H. Pander & Zonen Den Haag. Striking Dutch design from the 1920s. Solid oak base with original solid macassar ebony knobs on drawers and doors. Marked at the backside with manufacturers stamp and on the original key, see images. We will ship this outstanding piece of furniture in a custom made wooden crate for safe transport when purchased by overseas buyers! The Modernist look of this wonderful credenza or sideboard by Hendrik Wouda is also known in the Netherlands under the name Haagse School. The Haagse School was inspired by the designs of the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright. The famous Dutch Art Magazine published a series of articles on Frank Lloyd Wright in 1925. Well known architects of the Haagse School are Hendrik Wouda, Jan Wils, Frits Spanjaard, Cor Alons and Jan Brunott.
