The gilded bronze sculpture of this King seated on his throne, wearing his crown, while he is absorbed in reading a book is very rare and particular. The figure stands elegantly, and the faded and somewhat worn gilt bronze surface shows a beautiful patina. The sculpture is signed on one side, as shown in the photos.
