About This Piece

Vintage Design

Set of two Restoration period chairs with blond mahogany frames.
The seats, called "à pelotes", are by definition designed with webbing and natural horsehair. They are covered with a yellow ochre velvet fabric with a nail finish.
The moderately curved backrests are each fitted with two intermediate bars.
These seats rest at the front on "shank" feet with snail-shaped mouldings at the top. The rear legs are "sabres".
This pair of bicentennial chairs will have no trouble finding a place in our current homes, where the colours of fawn and mustard are more trendy than ever.
